Another answered prayer.

A couple of weeks ago Marilena emailed me and asked me to pray for her because she was having tests to see if she had cancer.

I was unable to post here last weekend as our son Tom was flown down to Adelaide with the flying doctors and was in the high dependency unit with Ketoacidosis so didn't have a chance to put it up.

This week, Marilena has found out that she doesn't have cancer. Thanks be to God for answering this prayer.

Special Prayer request.

I was sent the following prayer request via email from Christine.

I have a friend, Ruth, and she has had her disability taken away from her for volunteering at a food bank to get food for her family, because they say it means she can work. 4 hours a week at a food bank and she can now work??? Her daughter survived cancer and was healed completely and without explanation by the Virgin Mary, who is Karen's patron Saint. Her mom and I both know this. If Ruth does not get an income within 2 months, either her disability back, or something else, they'll take Karen from her, because she has no income. Well THEY took it away from her!!! Please pray to Our Mother Mary, that she might intercede with Our Blessed Lord, to un-harden the hearts of those workers and anyone else, who is holding up her disability payments. She almost lost her daughter to cancer and now they want to put her in a state run institution until her mom can prove she has an income. She's trying so hard, in so much pain herself and she's so worn out. Ruth has 14 medications she takes that cost her $448 a month, not to mention all the food, gas, utilities and whatnot that go into daily living. PLEASE pray for this mother and her child to Our Blessed Mother, who knows all too well the pain of losing a child herself. I know she'll hear us. Our Lord never forgets us but I still pray very hard that something shows up in time.

Good news for Audie.

FROM KIM BURKE IN SENECA FALLS:

Melissa has been moved to ICU. They have put her on a ventilator. It is confirmed that she has a brain infection.

She is having seizures every 2- 3 minutes. Doctors have said that if she makes it through this, she will most likely have some type of brain damage.

Right now there is no decision on what they will do about the bone marrow transplant. They will first have to get her through this and go from there.

Ask everyone to pray for God's will and strength for the family. God Bless!"

On Divine Mercy Sunday Fr. Ed passed away. This is the note I received:

With heavy heart and joy in the hope of the resurrection, I wanted to let you know that Fr. Ed Schramm passed into eternal life yesterday, Divine Mercy Sunday, at 2:35 pm. Surrounded by his family and friends, and all of your prayers, he died peacefully, ready to go home. Sunday was the 7th anniversary of his cancer surgery in Colorado. So now his suffering has ended.

Arrangements are not final and I will let you know. But tentative plans are for the wake on Wednesday in Wentzville with the funeral on Thursday at St. Patrick's in Wentzville, Fr. Ed's boyhood parish.

Please pray that Fr. Ed is in peace, for comfort for his family and Judy, and for his intercession.

This prayer has been answered. A birth-mom has been matched to my sister and her husband and she has chosen them to parent her TWIN BOYS! The estimated cost is just about what they have saved and some family members have promised to provide the difference if they should come up short.

Our prayer now is for the health of the babies and the birth-mom and that everything will continue as planned.

We are all very excited and blessed!

My apologies for the late update.

Baby Khloe.

Over the last month I have been praying for baby Khloe. I have recieved the following email about her:

Hello all,,
Some great new! Our princess baby Khloe' has been
discharged and is home with mom, dad and brothers.
This family has a long, long road to recovery from
surgery, she'll be monitored closely by mom and dad
and her parents still await the results to the
chromosomal deficiency which could mean she will have
immunity issues on top of a fragile heart. Thank you
all so much for praying,,please continue to pray for
this baby and her family.

Mom said today:

"We are so happy to finally be home!! What seemed like
an eternity ago has actually been only been 19 days,
but no matter how much time has passed, it is so worth
it to go through whatever we have to in order to have
our little girl. She completes our family and just
solidifies the love our Father has for us in blessing
us with such wonderful and special children as
Brandon, Joshua, and now Khloe'.

My friends from my home school group here in Texas
painted huge banners that say Welcome Home Khloe'
Julia, all the children signed the banner, and there
were tons of balloons lining the driveway and walkway
to our front door. I also came home to several welcome
baskets with "mommy goodies", and most special and
precious was a binder from the home school group which
was made for Khloe' as a spiritual bouquet from all
the families, wishing her health and prayers. I was
moved beyond tears. Thank you dear Lord for this
wonderful group of families, who are now family away
from home.

We have a long and scary road ahead of us. We have
only been home since around 4pm, and I am already
paranoid about the boys being around her and being
sick. They are wearing their masks and it is so hard
for them to not touch her or hold her. Please pray for
all of us to have patience during this time. The
doctors have warned us that if Khloe' gets sick, we
will be back in the hospital. Please pray for her
guardian angel to protect her from germs and keep her
safe."

Baby Anna is another baby I have been offering my rosary for. This morning (the feast of the Epiphany) Anna passed away. She is a new saint in Heaven praying for us all now.

Baby Noah.

I have had baby Noah in my prayer intentions for a while.

Noah has a liver complication and yesterday his mother wrote this message:

I thought I would share this little story with you. Since Noah was diagnosed I have pretty much asked every Saint and Angel I can think of to intercede in prayer. Of course, I always ask his guardian angel to watch over him and protect him. The other day I got an email from a friend who said she is always praying for Noah's gaurdian angel to protect him, and thought, thats great, she is also praying for the same thing I am. At 4:00am that night I was jolted from my sleep and as I sat straight up to look at Noah who sleeps right next to me in bed, and NEVER EVER EvER rolls more than once on his stomach, I saw him hanging off the edge of my bed. My bed is a 4 poster bed that is about 3 feet off the ground. First of all I have no idea how he got from laying parellel to me to laying perpendicular with his arms, chest, and head hanging off the bed. Because of Noah's stomach being cut open twice, he has NO CORE muscles which means if he hangs off of a bed he should go down. Not only was Noah stable in a superman position, but as I grabbed his leg quickly he turned and smiled at me. He was wide awake and smiling as if someone was talking to him or playing with him. This was also a blessing because had he cried or fussed he would have fallen over. As soon as I got Noah next to me, and surrounded him with pillows. I immedietly was filled with a sense of knowing it was his Guardian Angel that was holding him up, and making him smile until I woke up. I thanked him, and just have a feeling its a male.
