On Divine Mercy Sunday Fr. Ed passed away. This is the note I received:
With heavy heart and joy in the hope of the resurrection, I wanted to let you know that Fr. Ed Schramm passed into eternal life yesterday, Divine Mercy Sunday, at 2:35 pm. Surrounded by his family and friends, and all of your prayers, he died peacefully, ready to go home. Sunday was the 7th anniversary of his cancer surgery in Colorado. So now his suffering has ended.
Arrangements are not final and I will let you know. But tentative plans are for the wake on Wednesday in Wentzville with the funeral on Thursday at St. Patrick's in Wentzville, Fr. Ed's boyhood parish.
Please pray that Fr. Ed is in peace, for comfort for his family and Judy, and for his intercession.
