My good friend Dawn lost her father tonight suddenly. He had a heart attack. The family is in shock from this sudden death. Please pray for the repose of Joseph's soul and for Dawn and her family at this difficult time.

FROM KIM BURKE IN SENECA FALLS:

Melissa has been moved to ICU. They have put her on a ventilator. It is confirmed that she has a brain infection.

She is having seizures every 2- 3 minutes. Doctors have said that if she makes it through this, she will most likely have some type of brain damage.

Right now there is no decision on what they will do about the bone marrow transplant. They will first have to get her through this and go from there.

Ask everyone to pray for God's will and strength for the family. God Bless!"

Melissa is a 24 year old girl that has cancer. She needed a bone marrow transplant to save her life. She has had her transplant but at this stage it doesn't look like it has been successful.

Fr. Ed Schramm.

On Divine Mercy Sunday Fr. Ed passed away. This is the note I received:

With heavy heart and joy in the hope of the resurrection, I wanted to let you know that Fr. Ed Schramm passed into eternal life yesterday, Divine Mercy Sunday, at 2:35 pm. Surrounded by his family and friends, and all of your prayers, he died peacefully, ready to go home. Sunday was the 7th anniversary of his cancer surgery in Colorado. So now his suffering has ended.

Arrangements are not final and I will let you know. But tentative plans are for the wake on Wednesday in Wentzville with the funeral on Thursday at St. Patrick's in Wentzville, Fr. Ed's boyhood parish.

Please pray that Fr. Ed is in peace, for comfort for his family and Judy, and for his intercession.
